It's a good sign. Trust me. I'll never forget the 6 mile run I did 2 days before my race. I couldn't push faster than a 9 min/mile for the life of me and then I hammered out a 3:06 marathon two days later. This race is YOURS. The week...Don't let a bad run get in your head. The week before my last half marathon was awful. Huffing and puffing the whole time and my legs just felt heavy and tired. But on race day I felt great!

I haven't been great about commenting consistently this spring, but I'm pretty sure I've read all of your training recaps. You've put in the work and I'm sure that you will have a great race! Best of luck!Heather [is probably running]https://www.blogger.com/profile/12114192701460406051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298679531196459259.post-61446573402340520302017-04-18T06:28:05.423-07:002017-04-18T06:28:05.423-07:00So many of my training cycles have had all great r...So many of my training cycles have had all great runs, with my worst on race day. So I'm a firm believer that a bad run during training gets it out of your system so you'll have a great run on race day. So this was good to happen! I've only eaten at Casbah once, for my office holiday party. I confirmed with them beforehand that nothing on their menu was vegan but they said the could make me something. It ended up being sautéed veggies & pasta--not bad, but not very creative or interesting. :-(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15789773999034928321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298679531196459259.post-79091870630053494662017-04-18T06:03:03.652-07:002017-04-18T06:03:03.652-07:00Yes. I managed to beat the rain, but the humidity sucked the life out of me. Definitely not the run I wanted to have right before race day.

I have one more speed workout on the schedule tomorrow night - but I think it's 2 x 1 mile at race pace + a few 800's, so nothing crazy. Excited & nervous to race this weekend, sure you are too. Can't wait to hear how it goes! Then we can just chill until Pittsburgh!Jessie Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11217522564709638588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298679531196459259.post-6668797058751795602017-04-18T04:31:40.769-07:002017-04-18T04:31:40.769-07:00I love your morning run pictures! I often have a few no good runs right before a race--I view it as getting the kinks out, but also scaring me into submission so that I run a smart race!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04260595416987210214noreply@blogger.com
