2022 Favorites

Even though it's hard to believe another year is almost over, that means that it's one of my favorite times- lists of the best things of the year! I love hearing what everyone loved, from music to movies to products. It's always so fun to see how these things change each year too. Today I'll be sharing my favorites in a few categories- Entertainment, Books, Food, and Products! Let's get to it. Entertainment - movie : Everything Everywhere All At Once. I saw this on a plane ride, and I already want to re-watch it at home. This is one of the most visually interesting movies that I've ever seen, and even though the story line is really out there I was captivated! I don't think I've ever seen a movie like this, and I want everyone to watch just so I can talk about it. A runner up that I just watched on Netflix is Bullet Train, which was so entertaining and hilarious. Plus- it made me nostalgic for Japan! - tv show : According to my Sling TV roundup, I only w...

Good morning everyone! Life has been so hectic lately- so far in April I volunteered and paced at the Umstead 100 Miler (SUCH a great experience), ran in the Tar Heel 10 Miler, visited Richmond with my family, dove straight into house hunting, and got offered a new job! Like I said in my monthly goals post- life is full of changes lately! Can't wait to share more. For today's post since I haven't been on here much lately, I thought it would fun to do an old fashioned favorites post. I have a few things that I've been loving lately and want to talk about, so I hope you'll find something new to try (and also share with me any life-changing products you're obsessed with). Let's get into it! Backpack  - Funny enough, I actually got this backpack at the start of 2020 because of all the travel I had planned. I'm finally getting to use it this year and absolutely love it! It has so many useful compartments to keep me organized, and it also works great for worki...

2021 Favorites

Image
Hi everyone!  Hard to believe it's already the end of a year and the start of another, so today I wanted to share some of my favorites from 2021. These year-end lists are always my favorite to read, so I hope you'll enjoy this and would love to hear anything you've loved this year as well. Products Egg Chair When we moved into our apartment and had a balcony that overlooked a pond, I immediately knew that I wanted a cozy chair so I could sit out there and enjoy the view! I searched for a while for a chair in this exact design that wasn't too expensive (some of them are INSANE) and came upon this one. There was a small shipping issue where I missed an entire part of the frame in my package, but otherwise I absolutely love the chair and spend so much time in it. Highly recommend! Scoop Plus Colander As someone who loves to cook, I'm surprised it's taken me this long to get one of these scoop colanders. This has quickly become one of my most-used tools in the kitch...

Marathon Training Gear

Image
Hi everyone!  Now that I'm in the thick of marathon training (you can follow my weekly training logs here or read my first 1/4 recap here ) I wanted to talk about some of the gear that I've been using.  Since the weather's been so awful with the majority of my runs being in temperatures below freezing, I've been sticking to a lot of the same pieces for most of my runs.  These are all tried, tested, and pass every test!  Here's what I'm loving: Tops Lululemon Run for Cold Pullover  (no longer available, but jacket and vest still available in same line) I got this as a splurge last year, and have definitely gotten my money's worth so far!  This is definitely the warmest piece that I own and has gotten me through some really rough, cold weather. Columbia Base Layer I've gotten base layers from Columbia's outlet for the past few years and wear them for all of the coldest runs.  I like how warm they are, but they're also breathable ...

Favorite Running Gear

Happy Tuesday friends!  Today I'm going to be joining the Tuesdays on the Run linkup to talk about some of my favorite running gear!  I don't know about you, but one of my motivators to get out and run is trying out new clothes.  Nothing gets me out of the door faster than wanting to try out a new outfit! I'm going to be sharing my favorite stores to buy running clothes online and in-store.  I'll be talking about my favorite pieces that I bought from each, as well as some wish list items! Online Lululemon It might be surprising to have Lulu as one of my online picks, but this is one store that I prefer shopping online.  The employees at the store are all really great, but they always seem a bit pushy persuasive and make me end up buying way more than I need.  This is great for them, but bad for my wallet! My suggestion is to go to the store first, figure out what sizes you are in different items and feel the different fabrics.  Then, check...

FAVORITES WEEK : Beauty

Welcome to Day 3 of my 2015 Favorites!  Today it's all about beauty.  I'll be sharing all of the top products that I used throughout the year in a variety of price points.  I tried out so many different makeup products this year, so I feel fairly confident recommending these!  I hope that you'll find something new to try, and please share your favorite products from the year! P.S. - I included some affiliate links in this post.  These are all items that I used and loved all year, and everything was bought with my own money!  Thank you for supporting Gretch Runs so I can bring you better content in 2016!! Face Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation In the past year, I've tried out so many different foundations- from really low end to expensive high end.  To me, nothing really compares to this foundation from Covergirl!  There are so many things that I love about this product:  there's a pump in the bottle so that ...
