It's been a while since I've done a "Currently" post, and I just saw that San posted one and thought it would be fun to post my answers! Here's some new things going on for me- CELEBRATING | Dan's new job! He started working at a robotics company this week, and we went out to dinner at Vivace, a great Italian restaurant in the North Hills. It was delicious! TRYING TO | spend as much time as possible outside, and train hard for my upcoming race. I haven't done a 10 miler in so long and it's one of my favorite distances so I can't wait to see how it goes. FEELING | overwhelmed by all the changes going on in my life right now, but also like I have no place to complain with everything going on in the world.  PLEDGING | my monthly charity to a cause helping Ukraine. My work is doing a special match for donations made to support Ukrainians so I wanted to make sure I could make as big of an impact as I could. LOVING | the weather lately- it's been in ...

What's Up June!

Hi everyone!  Long time, no talk.  What better way to catch up than to do an old-fashioned "What's Up Wednesday" post?!  Here are some recent things going on in my life, and please let me know what's going on in yours.  I miss you all and I hope to start blogging more regularly very, very soon :) On to today's post! Eating - Lots of fun, new foods thanks to my CSA box.  I've gotten four boxes so far, and it's been so fun to try out new recipes and flavor combinations.  If anyone's interested, I would love to share a post on some of my favorite meals that I've made with ingredients that I don't typically use (radishes, collards, parsley, rhubarb), or how to use up those more difficult CSA veggies :) Been up to - Work has been legit crazy lately.  I work on the mobile app team at a bank, and we have been working around the clock to release a new version of our app.  It's been over a year in the making, and we're getting down t...

I'm so happy today, because I finally remembered to join the What's Up Wednesday linkup!  I always forget to write my post, then see other bloggers sharing, and make a mental note to join next month.  Well- I finally did and have lots of fun stuff to share!   Let's get to the interesting stuff and talk about what I'm...... Eating - a bunch of leftovers.  I'm trying to cut back on spending this month, which includes grocery shopping!  So far this month I've only spent $45 on groceries, and I'm done for the month.  I've been having lots of lentil soups, curries, and veggie burgers! Aldi's- I heart you Reminiscing about - 2016.  I'll probably do a recap blog post about everything that's happened in the last 12 months, because 2016 has definitely been the most meaningful and best year of my life! love and marriage, go together like horse and carriage Been up to - Working, running, socializing, repeat!  I've heard that w...

It's been quite a while since my last "Currently" survey, so let's talk about what I've been up to! CURRENT BOOK I just finished Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter.  It was recommended by a blog that I religiously read, and I was sort of let down!  It had a very intense plot with lots of twists and turns, but it was EXTREMELY gory. I had to skip past a lot of the particularly disgusting scenes.  Overall I would have liked the book a lot more if they tamed down the violence (or didn't describe it in so much depth).  If you're easily triggered, do NOT read this book! I needed a light read after that, so I started to read It's Not Okay by Andi Dorfman.  As a HUGE fan of The Bachelor franchise and a fangirl of Andi's, I was really excited to pick up this book!  It's light and fluffy and just what I needed. CURRENT MUSIC Christmas music!  All of the new Christmas CDs are coming out, so I've been trying them all out a...

Hi everyone!  This week is absolutely flying by for me and has been super hectic at work.  I thought it would be a perfect time for an updated Currently post- one of my favorites to read and share! Current Book Me Before You by Jojo Moyes I'm just getting into this book, but so far I'm loving it!  It's a really quick and easy read that everyone's been talking about, so if you haven't picked it up yet I would recommend it. Current Music Honestly, I haven't been listening to a lot of music lately.  I got rid of my Spotify Premium account, and mostly listen to podcasts now.  When I'm at work, I'll search for "relaxing piano" or "music for concentration"!  Besides that, I guess I'm in a music rut. As far as podcasts, a few of my current favorites are No Challenges Remaining (all about tennis), Invisibilia (psychological stuff that really makes you think) and The Lively Show (right now she's in Europe and...

I can't believe it's already time for another "currently" survey!  I love doing these each month to see how things change (or stay the same) from month to month.  As usual, I'm joining Anne and Jenna ! Making - lists on lists on lists.  Thank goodness I can keep them all organized with my bullet journal (which has been a life saver in the past few weeks).  I'm making packing lists, shopping lists, cleaning lists, to-do lists...it's exhausting! Wish Listing - just about everything!  I'm about halfway through my 6-month no-buy challenge, so I'm lusting after all of the spring clothes coming out.  I'm going to be sharing my spring wish list in a few weeks, but for now here are a few things I want to buy: - obsessed with this print.. (also in a skirt , dress , blouse , pants , shorts , and bathing suit .  Too far?) - love this adorable jumpsuit - found the perfect maxi dress for spring/summer - the colors in this palette look so go...

Dan and I are trying to save up as much money as we can, so we really haven't gone anywhere lately, and aren't planning any trips for a ...

Today I'll be sharing some things that I'm currently up to....enjoy! listening ... to new albums from Sia, Charlie Puth, and Wet.  So many great songs for listening during work!  eating ...Whole30 for the final day!  That's right- I made it to day 30.  As for day 31 and beyond, I'm not planning on changing my habits right away.  I'm enjoying the food I'm eating, feeling great, and not feeling deprived at all.  I'm going to treat myself to a glass of wine tomorrow evening, but otherwise I'm good to go! dreaming ... about the future.  I probably sound like a broken record by this point, but this is going to be a huge year for me!  My wedding is only 88 days away, we're house hunting, and there are other big and exciting changes coming this year.  It's a waiting game at this point for everything, so lots of day dreaming going on. smelling ... Tocca perfume.  I got this variety pack last year, and I love trying out the dif...

Resolving a lot- check out my post here ! Reading a few different books : 1984 by George Orwell * Interesting concept, but pretty slow read . Life and Other Near-Death Experiences by Camille Pagán * Really funny and a super quick read (opposite of 1984 basically!).  Plus, now I want to visit Puerto Rico! 10% Happier by Dan Harris * Everyone recommends this, but I can't get into it.  I think I need to just focus on getting through the first few chapter and it'll get better? The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinnertime by Ree Drummond * Spoiler alert- next week's Whole30 plan is all based from this cookbook!  I'm obsessed. Organizing everything   thanks to my planner.  I'm one of those planner freaks who is obsessed with paper planners.  I'm not sure what I did before I got one!  I keep my workouts, blog posts, meals, housework and appointments in my planner.  Some people ask how I stay so organized and get so much done, and my s...
