Week in Review

Happy Monday!  I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend.  Mine was pretty low-key, so I decided to switch things up and join Meghan's Week in Review linkup!  Basically, I'll be sharing what I accomplished last week and some highlights from the weekend.  If you want to hear more about the rules and what to expect, you can check out Meghan's blog post!  I hope you enjoy, and all my blogging friends out there should try it out!

  • Did laundry - and cracked up when Selma grabbed a hanger instead of one of her 100 toys when I came home

  •  Meal planning and dinner prep for the month (twice)

    •  Went to a Christmas party at Hard Rock Pittsburgh

    • Went running four times: once with True Runner Run Club, twice in my new Lululemon Toasty Tech Tights (verdict- IN LOVE), and once with an amazing sunset and swimming once (no pictures!!)
    • Helped decorate at my parents' house while watching football
    • Close up of the village in front of the fireplace...pretty cute, right?

    • Took a few family naps

There you have it!  A few highlights of my week and weekend- minus all the boring stuff like cleaning, washing dishes, going to work....  There's no way to make that look interesting!

I hope you enjoyed a slightly different Monday post, and make sure you check out the Week in Review linkup!

    1. Welcome to the Week in Review Gretchen. It's nice to have you here, and I love seeing what your week looks like, especially those family naps. Those are the best kind.

What a great week of exercise between the running, the rock climbing and the swimming. Also, all that food prep... I'd say you managed to really nail it.

Happy Monday and thanks for linking up.

    2. Bahahha your dog is just like my toddler. A billion and seven toys and I see little hand reaching into the utensil drawer to grab the potato masher. Why do we bother?

      1. That's hilarious!! She'll grab anything..she just has to bring something to us when we call her. One time it was my phone..she held it so gently so it wouldn't crack but that really made me laugh!

    7. Yum those cookies look so good and so cute! It looks like you had the best kind of weekend relaxing, fun, and productive! My aunt and uncle collect those Christmas villages and have them all over their house this time of year it's my favorite.

    8. Selma is too funny. Once time our pup did not like that I was doing laundry & not loving him, so when I came back into the room I had a 75 LB dog in my laundry basket. Shedding all over my nicely folded clean clothes. But he was too cute to be mad.

    9. Your Christmas decorations are adorable! And so is Selma! Charlie does a similar thing - he takes random objects and plays with them instead of toys. We have these alpaca wool balls for our dryer and he loves to play with them!

      1. Thanks Laura! She's usually good about not picking up stuff and playing, but if we come home and she can't find a toy she'll grab whatever's closest!

    10. That reminds me of Allie. She has all these toys (catnip non-catnip), and she wants to play with receipts and my nail file.

I love little Christmas villages! I've always liked little minis of things for some reason. I used to buy doll house accessories when I was a kid even though I didn't have a dollhouse, lol

    17. Those Christmas villages remind me of my Grandmother. She had quite a collection under her tree. Selma just wanted to help with the laundry! I'm always looking for good tights so I'll have to look those up. I appreciate you linking with us Gretchen. Have a wonderful week.

    18. I love the Christmas village how pretty! We are supposed to make Christmas cookies at my moms this weekend. We always have so many left over but this year we are giving them to the neighbors. We have a few elderly ones and thought it would be nice to wrap some up for them. The picture of the nap makes me sleepy ha I think I will try and get in the bed early tonight too. Thanks for linking up with us this week as well. Good luck in the giveaway for $75 we are doing for our linkers! Have a great week!
